Late last month, NBCUniversal and the PointsBet online/mobile sportsbook announced a deal in which the former would acquire a nearly 5% stake in the latter. This followed last week with the Indiana Gaming Commission updating its list of sports betting registrants to include NBCUniversal Media LLC.

NBCUniversal Registered For Sports Gambling In Indiana Following PointsBet Deal - Under the reported roughly $500 million deal, the Jersey City-based PointsBet entered into a five-year partnership with NBCUniversal that designates the company as the official sports betting partner of NBC Sports. In exchange, NBCUniversal is snagging a 4.99% equity stake in the Australia-based bookmaker that is currently live in three U.S. states: Indiana, Iowa, and New Jersey.
PointsBet's parent company is based out of Australia.
Unibet Latest to Secure Illinois License - Kindred has announced plans to launch its Unibet sportsbook in Illinois following a new market access deal with Penn National.
Under the agreement, Kindred will pursue licensing for Illinois online sports betting through Penn’s Argosy Casino Alton.
The deal between the two companies also covers market access for Ohio, through Penn’s Hollywood Casino.
